General Overview : Coding tool

On the problems'manager page, the "C" button opens the coding tool for the diagnoses :

This page helps you to find the right code for the diagnosis. It uses by default the ICD10 database.

Insert in the "Search window" the key words to search. It can be full words or just a part of words.

Click on "L" to get a list that contains all words of the problem. Click on a word in this list to add it in the search window.

Click on "Search" to search all corresponding codes.

Select a code in the list to add it in the “Problem” window. You can also replace the whole problem by the code’s definition with a click on "Add full code".

The button "Clear code" removes the code in the window "Problem".

Click on "Ok" to confirm this modification and to come back to the page "Problems manager". Click on "Cancel" to cancel the coding procedure.

You can add or create your own database. It must be a text document with the ".txt" extension or a comma delimited (;) document produce by all spreadsheets software as Microsoft excel or Access with the ".csv" extension. This file must contain 2 columns separated by "," or "Tabulation" or ";". The first column contains the codes and the second one the codes’ definition.

Copy this file on your PDA in the folder "\My Documents\". Then load this file from Handy patients with the button "Load table".

Handy patients is a powerful professional software that can be directly use in any medical department.
