There are also new marvelous Greek and Italian versions free for all doctors. The Greek version has been done by Dr Michael Vasiliadis freely for all doctors. The great precision and optimization of this translation should delight Greek doctors. The Italian version is the perfect translation of the English version. It has been done freely by Dr Paolo Tomasi to help all Italian doctors to manage their patients with Handy patients. Download these new languages here. The Desktop-PC and Tablet-PC version of Handy patients is on the way and will be imposing ! It should be ready at the end of the year.

The old software Handy patients-PC v1.2 has been stopped because of confusion with the new version that should be available at the end of the year.

This new version has a new menu to set regional settings. So you can select the units between centimeters/kilograms and inch/pound. You can also choice between two birth date format : D/M/Y or M/D/Y. This new menu is located on the "Preferences" page.

There are some small other improvements.

The Spanish language of Handy patients for PocketPC done by Dr. Ramiro Hernández Vásquez from Mexico has been improved for the new version 3.1. He has done again a wonderful job freely for all users of Handy patients. Thanks him very much.

Accept now ".csv" files from Microsoft Excel as a database for the coding tool for the diagnoses.

Small other general improvements.

This new version has a coding tool for the diagnoses that you can link to any database. The default database of the software is ICD10. Add any other database as you want. There is an option to search the code for a diagnosis by key words. Search the definition of a code. Add any other database as you want.

The new version 3.0 of Handy patients is ready. The list of improvements is below.

This patients' tracker is currently the most powerful one on PDA. It has wonderful wireless features, nice automatic documents to print, is fully customizable for your medical department, has a statistic tool and much more. Look at the documentation of this version 3.0 (pdf document).

Improvements from version 2.4:

Unlimited items (was limited to 20) in the shortcuts list.
Improvement of the shortcuts manager and high optimization of the editor (done, very useful).
Submenu for the shortcuts.
"Close" => close and archived automatically the patient's folder.
Optimization of the page "Problems".
A new "Problems manager" let you sort the problems from the most important to the less one. New buttons "Delete problem" and "Active/Inactive problem".
New documents to print. One summarizes on one page all patients' state sorted by the rooms of your medical department. Another summarizes the actual state of all patients (2 patients by page) with a high optimization of the presentation. Another let you print the automatic prescription the last day of the hospitalization.
New templates' manager for personalized automatic documents to prints. Add unlimited new templates.
A new page with a summary that present all patients' current state.
New field for an automatic patient's chart number.
Improvement of the summary of the admission.
Optimization of the insertion of "ok" with one click, and remove this notification with a second click.

The new version of Handy patients 2.3 for PocketPC is ready with its documentation.

We have transformed the whole software to an international version that is compatible with all other language than the Latin one. So the Russian, Greeks, ... are able to use Handy patients that becomes now an international software.

The new wireless tools are very great. Send handy mails to your colleagues with an internal wireless network. The server can manage online or offline messages. He confirms reception of the message and gives the time at which the recipient has read the message. You can consult or share patients' folders with the other doctors wireless. All PocketPC of your hospital can be linked via wifi with Handy patients. There is a chat room to discuss with online doctors. The desktop PC server of this software is in the installation package. There is a free evaluation for two months. You can have a quick look at these new wonderful wireless functions here.

This new version automatically update previous patients files and personalized text. The scroll option "click and drop" on the summaries works now fine on windows 2003 PDA. There are a lot of small improvements and some bug fixes. PDA implemented with Wifi will be the first to take advantage of this new version.

This new German translation has been produced by Manuel Horn. He is a German medical student who helps us freely to improve the software for all German physicians. He added some expressions and abbreviations which are often use in German hospitals. Also he helps us to test the last version 2.2 of Handy patients and we thank him a lot for his precious and great collaboration.

This new version of Handy patients is compatible with the last PocketPC 2003 system. It improves memory use and some other small details.

Advice: With the new PocketPC 2003 system the software run up to 5 times faster. The summaries are instantaneous. So for old PDA, try to upgrade to this new system if possible.

Important : To update from version 2.1 to 2.2, you must uninstall the previous version. Please follow the saving instruction to avoid loosing your previous information
